We all have a part to play in our church family.
Volunteering at Brentview
We want to empower hundreds of volunteers to take ownership of our weekly ministries. God is on the move and we invite you to join with us and Jesus in making our church, city, and world better.
Are you willing to help out? Our needs are as diverse as the people who attend our services. Find out how you can get involved and serve others in our church community.

Sunday Volunteer Teams
Kids (0 - grade 6)
Kids Ministry is where all the fun happens!
As a team, we create a welcoming environment for Preschool, K-3 and Grades 456 Kids at Brentview. As a Kids Ministry leader, you have the opportunity to bring Safety, Fun and the Gospel to every kid that enters our spaces. Most of our roles take place on a Sunday morning, but we do have some mid-week opportunities as well.
Welcome to the party!
Production
(sound, lights, slides, cameras, etc.)
Join the Production Team!
Our Production Team consists of sound operators, slides operators, and video switchers. This team is essential for the Sunday worship services to run smoothly!
Volunteers on this team typically serve in one area, once a month.
Hospitality Team
(Hosts, Greeters, Connection Centre)
At Brentview, we believe that when people feel welcome, loved and cared for when they arrive at church, they are more prepared to receive what God has to say to them in the worship service. Our job as the hospitality team is to create a warm, welcoming environment for all people who enter our building each week. As well, we work hard to make sure that newcomers know their way around, can find what they need, and have the opportunity to connect.
Our team includes ushers, greeters and coffee bar hosts. We'd love to have you join us!
Music
Come join the Worship team and be part of something truly inspiring!
We are excited to invite you to serve in our worship ministry, where your musical talents can help lead others into a powerful encounter with God. Whether you're a seasoned musician or just beginning to explore your musical gifts, there's a place for you here.
As a volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to grow both personally and spiritually through collaborative worship, dynamic rehearsals, and meaningful connections with other team members.
Playing together in our worship teams offers a meaningful journey of musical development and improving your skills, to deepening your understanding of worship music. You'll experience the joy of creating a unified sound that lifts hearts and draws people closer to God. Plus, you'll gain valuable leadership experience and develop your ability to adapt and improvise in a live setting.
Join us in making a joyful noise, building community, and growing in faith through music. We can't wait to welcome you to the team!

FAQ
Who oversees our volunteers?
Each department is led by church staff members. However, if you need a first contact in this area as you discern the needs in our church and your passions, Julie Peters (our Director of Volunteers and Missional Partnerships) is a great person to reach out to.
What kind of commitment is required to volunteer?
We ask that you be committed to what you have committed to. In other words, if you say you will be available and present to be a greeter during the 9am service, then you are “all in” on showing up with a Jesus-centred posture to love others. Also, various ministries have different levels of commitments. Some ask for a weekly commitment while others perhaps involve a rotation of volunteer teams.
